<description>Mrs. Geary, Noticed you are tracing geneology of the Little family in Alabama. I found information pertaining to Eliza Battle Little. The &quot;ELIZA BATTLE&quot; was a steamboat named after Eliza Little. I believe I read her Father was CPT. The ELIZA BATTLE sank in the Tombigbee River in CHOCTAW County Alabama on the night of MAR 1 1858. She is now refered to the ghost ship of the Tombigbee mentioned in the book 13 ghosts of Alabama and Jeoffrey. You may already have this info but I came across the story of THE ELIZA BATTLE by typing in ELIZA BATTLE and became engrossed in the story and then came across your site. Hope this helps in some way.
